Arrival by car
Autobahn Karlsruhe-Basel (A5, E35), exit Freiburg Mitte. Follow the feeder road 31a in south west direction for about 6.5 km.
After having crossed the railway tracks, turn left, following the direction Hauptbahnhof (= main train station).
At the crossing after the main train station drive straight ahead; the street is called now Stefan-Meier Strasse.
After ca. 500 m turn right into the Hermann-Herder Strasse, and follow it until after ca.
300 m you will find a parking site on the left. Please contact the secretary to get a parking permit.
Arrival by public transportation
From Freiburg main train station (called Freiburg(Breisgau) Hbf by DB (Deutsche Bahn)); by foot in ca. 15 min.
Freiburg can be reached from 3 airports:
Frankfurt Airport (FRA)
From the long distance railway station at the airport (called Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf by DB) an ICE runs
every hour to Freiburg main train station (called Freiburg(Breisgau) Hbf by DB Bahn). It takes ca. 20 min to get to the
long distance railway station, the train ride is ca. 2 h.
Basel-Mulhouse Airport (BSL)
If you exit through the French customs, then you can take the airport bus to Freiburg.
If exit through the Swiss customs, then you can take a bus to Basel SBB train station, from which Freiburg can be reached by train in ca. 40 min.
Karlsruhe, Baden-Baden (Baden-Airpark) (FKB)
By bus or taxi (ca. 20 Euro) to Baden-Baden, from here to Freiburg by train.
